Rescue:

Near the city there is a lake, that is surrounded by beautiful homes, nature and farm land. The residents there tend to be well educated, enjoy living in a smaller community and perhaps own a sail boat or canoe. One day a woman called and said that she had noticed a little kitten on her back deck, but it scooted away as soon as it realized someone was watching it. Food and water was put out and on the second day the kitten ended up in the humane trap that was set out for a racoon that was being disruptive. This was Beau’s sisters (Brandi) introduction to the human world, and she was not impressed. Although frightened and unsure, it did not take long for her to settle into her new foster home and accept petting and a nice soft belly rub. The day after her rescue, her brother Beau was brought in, and he too showed concern initially then discovered that petting from people, good food and safety were wonderful parts of their new life.

Personality:

Beau is a handsome grey tabby cat who has come a long way since his rescue. He is great with the other cats at the sanctuary and likes to watch what they are doing, and tries to follow suit. He is learning to be picked up, that will take time because he never had the opportunity before, but he is making progress. He likes to sleep on the bed at night and sit with his people on the couch. He is quite playful and outgoing, chases down toys and other cats tails in games of Tag. He loves the kitty climber and the view from the window sill and has no desire to be outside again. Bright eyed and inquisitive, Beau is ready to be adopted into an adult only home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
