Rescue:
One of our volunteers, has a feeding station on her front porch, sometimes feeding as many as 16 stray cats at at time. She called about a new group of seven or eight friendly cats who were coming on a regular basis to eat. She and her neighbours had never been seen any of these cats before in their small community and figured they were just dropped off. Possibly to a neighbouring farm. Someone thinking that it would good idea to take cats who may never have been outdoors, to live in a barn in the middle of the winter. The cats were all friendly and affectionate and certainly didn’t deserve this type of life of abandonment, freezing weather, little food and no shelter where there is any warmth. At least they had regular feeding and water at on her porch. Romeo was one of the group to come into her care and settled in very quickly.
Personality:
Romeo is a very nice and friendly boy. He is a pretty handsome boy too. He purrs readily and looks forward to the attention he receives at the sanctuary. He has done well with the other cats, since he was part of a colony of cats before, and thinks it is just natural to have buddies. He is learning about being indoors again, and is curious about his surroundings, wanting to see everything and making himself comfortable. He was not sure about toys in the beginning, having never seen a crinkle ball, toy mouse or plastic spring, but he is getting the hang of it. Romeo is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors
