Rescue:
A small rescue in a village had received a call from a couple who lived on the outskirts of the
town. They had moved there from the city, looking for the peace and tranquility of the country.
What they didn’t realize was how many cats would be abandoned in their area. The
strays would show up and being animal lovers, they brought them into the house, as they
didn’t want to see them hit on the road. Over time a few more showed up, as the cats
migrated from surrounding farms as well, and they tended to their injuries and fed them well.
This is all fine and good, but there was no population control. As a result the cats were
breeding rapidly and they could find homes for just so many, and then they exhausted their
contacts. Better at controlling population by the time they contacted the small rescue, by
isolating the females when they were in heat, but still the colony grew to thirty felines and
the woman sought out help to rehome the cats. Being a sizable colony, and luckily all indoors,
they eventually all came into Pet Patrol care including pretty little Gaia and her siblings
Gale, Gandalf, Gracie and Gerald.
Personality:
Gaia is a quiet and playful kitten who enjoys attention and games. She will climb on your lap
for pets but is also happy sleeping with her buddy brother Gerald. She is so mesmerized by
the feather wand toy and she will perform acrobatic leaps, high into the air, trying to catch
it! She is a wonderful companion to her people and to Gerald. She will call out to him if he
is not in sight and he will come running to her quickly, and vise versa. They are never too far
away from each other. It would be best if Gaia and Gerald to be adopted together into
their forever home. One that will welcome them into the family and keep them safely indoors.
