Rescue:

One evening a family with teenagers were sitting in their backyard around their fire pit. They
lived in a town just outside of the city and their backyard backed onto farmland. Out of the
darkness they could see the glow of a white fur coat spotted with orange. It was Hampton. He
trotted right up to them, rubbed against their legs and crawled onto their laps and warmed by
the fire. Not wanting to leave him outside, they brought him into the house so he would be safe.
The next day they contacted Pet Patrol and he came into our care. Upon examination we
discovered his left ear was clipped. This is called ear tipping and is done when the cat is
sedated and being neutered. It is to indicate that he is a colony cat, either from a barn or
industrial area, and already neutered. The teenagers set to looking on social media for his
original owners but none were found.

Personality:

Right from the beginning Hampton showed us how friendly he is. Whenever we tried to take a
good photo of him he would flop over and reach his paws out for us to pet him. He’s very
affectionate, loving and easy to pick up and carry around. He has done very well with the other
cats in the sanctuary and immediately makes himself at home. Such a wonderful family cat.
Hampton is now ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the
family and keep him safely indoors.
