Rescue:

We’re not exactly sure where Niimi came from originally, but it was a local city shelter who
called to see if we could take him in. They said that he was found in a feral cat colony, in a low
income area of town. He had just appeared one day and no one knew where he came from
and he was avoiding people at all costs. The local city shelter arrived on site and rescued him
thinking he was someone’s pet. He was an unneutered male, no microchip and no history and
not feral. However once at the shelter he expressed that he did not want to be touched. They
found over time that the longer he stayed at the shelter, in a cage, the more stressed he became.
Things were not good for Nimii there and the staff called to see if Pet Patrol would take
him in and help him to be the best kitty he could be. Upon arrival he was a very upset cat but
with time and patience, and the dedication of his foster parents, he has come along nicely.

Personality:

Niimi is an absolutely gorgeous cat with brilliant blue eyes and a soft meow. He loves to sit
beside you while you pet him and give him some treats. He starts purring as soon as you
massage his neck and head and he starts rolling over. 🙂 As a playful cat he is attracted to
string toys especially when he is in his bed. He has been introduced to the passive, friendly
resident cat and Nimii made it quite clear that he did not appreciate the company. He needs
to be an only cat in an adult only home, where he can completely adore his people. Niimi is
ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep
him safely indoors.
