Rescue:
Edward is a beautiful and regal looking boy. He arrived one day at a Pet Patrol volunteer’s
reliable feeding station. It was in the spring, the weather was wet and cold and he was very
unsure of humans but hungry enough to chance a distant encounter. Showing that he is very
stealth like he would eat then leave quickly and silently. Edward would show up every morning
and evening for his canned food and on hot days he would stretch out on the cool cement in
the shade for some relief. Overtime, if his meals were not served on time, he would sit on the
window sill and glare through the window until someone noticed him. He was soon rescued
and came into Pet Patrol care, but he wasn’t quite ready for that adventure and showed us his
discontent and unfriendly personality. Much thought was put into it before he was re-released,
thinking that he may socialize up more outside, it was a safe haven for him and he had food,
shelter and a person watching over him. Fast forwards a few months and Edward is now
rubbing up against his rescuers legs, almost tripping her, and wanting in the house. He sensed
that winter was coming and he had no interest in being out there again. Once again in Pet
Patrol care he had made himself quite comfortable and is one of the favourites here now.
Personality:
Edward is such a nice cat. He is long and lean, has a beautiful coat and is very handsome.
He has made himself right at home and is comfortable with living indoors. He has not shown
any interest in the outside world other than relaxing on the window sill and watching the people
and traffic go by. He is good with other cats, has no issue with them at all and has made a few
friends. Edward is still discovering toys, and likes the laser pen light and anything he can
chase. This nice boy is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him
into the family and keep him safely indoors.
