Rescue:

Pet Patrol received a phone call from a local farmer who does things the traditional way. They
don’t drive cars or have hydro to their properties, farming is the usual way of life and they have
a simpler way of doing things. In this case they have a few too many cats than what they would
like on the property, and because they do not spay or neuter their felines, the breeding is
uncontrollable. The man on the other line asked if we would be able to take some of the cats,
and presently they had two little kittens that were in need of help. their mother was an immature
cat, and she wasn’t very good at keeping her kittens warm or well fed. The family did what
they could, but cows milk was all they were intending on feeding them. Not a good idea as
cats are lactose intolerant. Soon the wee kittens were at the sanctuary appreciating a warm
and cozy bed and plenty of kitty kibble.

Personality:

Meet Saffra and Sianna. These two sweet Torti and Calico sisters love to spend lots of time
playing and wrestling with each other. And when they’re not too busy playing they are ready for
some cuddles and lap time. Both kittens purr almost instantly when approached and picked
up. Saffra tends to be the main greeter while Sianna hangs back a little bit. Both sisters are
friendly and happy kittens. For toys, they were introduced to jingly cat balls first and when we
added some quiet sparkly cat balls, Saffra didn’t want to share with her sister and made
growly sounds with the ball in her mouth. Now they each have one of their own and Saffra is
ready to share and trade with Sianna. These kittens are still developing their little habits and
personalities but are very happy playful little kittens. They are ready to be adopted into their
forever home together. One that will welcome them into the family and keep safely indoors
