Rescue:
Jimmy just appeared out of nowhere. One of our long time volunteers lives in an extremely
quiet town that is basically only two streets. Her neighbour just down the road has rescued
cats before and the two are in contact whenever a new stray shows up. This is Jimmy’s story.
The couple were sitting in their backyard when all of a sudden, he just came up to them wanting to be petted and loved. Immediately they fed him and could see that he was extremely
hungry. They were hoping he would hang around until Pet Patrol could take him in, but the best
thing to do is secure the cat in a room (bathroom or office) and then make the calls. As luck
would have it, after a plan was put in place to bring him into our care, he disappeared. Not
wanting him to become prey to fox and coyote in the neighbourhood they were quite concerned, but next evening, there he was sitting on the deck waiting for dinner. He was immediately scooped up and brought to the sanctuary
Personality:
This handsome boy with his white spot on his chest, loves snuggles but is also happy to just
hang out near you. He has no problem spending time by himself and chasing toys, but having
his people play with him is a joy. He’s great with the children in the home, no issues there and
is curious about the resident dogs. Their barking gets his attention but doesn’t seem to upset
him. Jimmy likes being able to look out the window and watch the world outside, getting
excited when the squirrels jump onto the bird feeder. All around he’s a pretty adaptable and
content kitty who purrs easily and is affectionate and gentle. Jimmy is ready to be adopted by
his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
