Rescue:

Pet Patrol received a message saying that a construction worker had found wee kittens in the
back of a pickup truck. It was wide open, there was no box, there was no food, there was no
shelter for them and no mother cat. The truck was parked on a construction site that was quite
desolate. So, it appears that someone had driven up there, knowing that there would be people arriving to start work early in the morning, and left the kittens there. Although they were safe
from predators on the ground to some degree, they were not safe from hawks. As well fox and
coyotes could have easily jumped up and snatched them. Luckily they were rescued and
brought into care. They were very tiny and just beginning to eat on their own. The rescuer’s
wife and family offered to foster them and care for them until they were big enough to be
adopted. A nursing momma cat would have benefited the babies, but there were none available in any rescue at that time. This family has done a tremendous job at helping these kittens
thrive and feel loved

Personality:

Darcy is the quiet kitten, although very playful and outgoing, you’ll be surprised when she finally
does meow as it is very sweet and very cute. As a cuddly kitten she snuggles right in and has
taken a liking to curling up on anyone’s lap who is accommodating. The resident dog is a
gentle doodle and Darcy really likes him as she has no fear of other animals or new people.
This pretty girl will take on any toy that rolls, bounces, dangles or is inside a cardboard box.
Cats love cardboard boxes and when you add a ping pong ball or little toy mouse, it creates a
lot of fun for a wee kitten. Darcy is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that has a
playmate, or her sibling Doris, and will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
