Rescue:

Louie was a friendly cat found abandoned in the country. A family who were outside in their
yard, enjoying the nice weather, suddenly heard a car door slam and then pull away abruptly. A
moment later this grey and white cat, with a very short tail, ran right past them including the
little girl on the swing set, and into the bushes. They must have wondered what they just saw,
but it was apparent as to what had just happened. Louie was unceremoniously dumped out of
the car and abandoned. The little girl went over to the bushes and Louie came right out to her
gentle voice. They quickly realized that Louie was super friendly but had something wrong
with his eyes. They thought he was blind or had very bad eye infections. He needed more help
than they could provide and called Pet Patrol. Louie had entropia, a birth defect where his eye
lashes curl into the eye, instead of out. It was easily fixed with cosmetic surgery by the vet and
he is now a happy and healthy boy

Personality:

Louie is a love bug. He is not a big cat at all, very small for a mature male cat and has half a
tail compared to other cats. He has a wonderful round face and although the hair is still growing in around his eyes after the surgery, he is pretty cute. He has done well with other cats
here at the sanctuary, and only one other cat in his new home is recommended. He is slowly
investigating toys, but it is apparent that he has never had the chance to be carefree as an
adult cat and toys are a big mystery to him. But in time, once adjusted to living in a home, he
will explore toys and be entertained by them. Louie is easy to pick up and carry, he loves
people and likes to be with them. He is a cuddler and not afraid to explore new spaces and
meet new people. Louie is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome
him into the family and keep him safely indoors
