Rescue:
Pet Patrol seems to get an equal number of cats coming from city areas as country. One
couple contacted us who live on a very secluded country property and noticed a mother cat
with her seven kittens trailing behind her. The couple automatically wondered about her wellbeing and who might’ve dropped her off. It is a misconceived notion that cats will have a wonderful life if you leave them in the country. More often than not they are left for starvation or
becoming prey to coyote, fox and hawks. Because the mother cat was skittish the couple set
up a humane trap, but she avoided it. They continued to put food out in hopes that she would
take up residence and that they would be able to rescue them all but by the third day she
had disappeared with four of the kittens. The three remaining babies, Dove, Dunkin and little
Dream were brought into the house and onto Pet Patrol
Personality:
Dream is a very playful kitten. She loves any toy she can find – especially the soft crinkly balls.
At her foster house there is a crinkly ball almost as big as her head but she totes it about
whenever she can get it away from her siblings. She likes being up high, often on the top level
of her cat tree. Dream is very friendly and marches right over to meet anyone new. When she
wants a cuddle, she’ll hop onto your lap, sit down, and wait for a pet. Dream is now ready for
adoption and can’t wait to meet her new family!
