Rescue:
Pet Patrol’s sanctuary is located in a rural area, surrounded by farms and people who do
things the traditional way. Properties are fields apart and any cats that migrate from farm to
farm, have a fair distance to go. One day we received a call, it was early in the summer, from
a farm family who had a good sized barn with cows, horses of course, chickens and a number
of cats. They mentioned that they had a really nice male cat who needed to be placed because ‘they just had too many’. At that time of year, kitten season, Pet Patrol was absolutely
overflowing with cats and kittens and not a spare foster home to place more into. Because
everything had opened up around the world people were traveling and that reduced the
number of people able to adopt or to foster. We had a full house from June through to September. Finally the ‘one male cat’, Isaac and two other cats came into our care as soon as we had
room, and at that time they mentioned Isaiah. I was a full two weeks before we had space for
him but he is just as sweet as the other three and all have done well in our care
Personality:
Izzac is a great cat and so is his brother Izaiah. They have adapted to living indoors beautifully
and are loving lounging around on the beds and watching out the windows. Izaac has appreciated being indoors especially on a cold and rainy fall day: there’s nothing like being inside,
warm and well-fed rather than being outside, wet and hungry! Izaac likes to be pet and cuddled. He is used to being around children who handled him nicely, and although he is a fair sized boy, he doesn’t mind being picked up and cuddled at all. In fact, he loves it! Toys have
been a wonderful new discovery for him, and he’s having great fun learning how a ball
bounces, playing with the mysterious laser pen light and catnip toys of any kind are just the
best. Izaac is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the
family and keep him safely indoors.
