Rescue:

This kitty is named Button because she is as cute as a button. She, her brother, and
their mother were rescued off the streets in a small rural town. It is not uncommon to have cats
brought to the country to be abandoned, but also some cats have arrived in town unnoticed
from being in the back of a hay wagon, truck engine etc. We see it often enough. Button
proved to be fairly easy to rescue but her mother and brother were quite wary and smart to
the humane trap. It took some patience but eventually they were all rescued. They
were found living in an alley that had dumpsters, bags of garbage and clutter in there. It
was out of the wind and out of sight, but also very filthy and unfit for cats to live in. Once
given a clean space to live Button thrived and showed very quickly what a lovely affectionate cat she is, and loves to receive love and affection from the volunteers.

Personality:

Buttons is a beautiful little girl, very sweet and kind. She took some time to adjust to a new
home but so worth the wait. She loves to play with her toys and gets quite excited, her
expressions confirm her name “cute as a Button”. She is food motivated and although
sometimes a bit shy, she comes running for a favorite treat and pet. She is so dear and
will make a perfect pet in a quieter home with an accepting resident cat or perhaps with her
brother Panda. She will likely remain a small cat, is dainty and elegant. Buttons is ready
to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep
her safely indoors.
