Rescue:
Pet Patrol received a message from a local shelter that had this pretty little long-haired orange
girl who needed to find another shelter to take her in. As this is was large shelter, there were
many cats and dogs and poor little Ruby was terrified of it all. She was found as a stray and
her history is that the finder saw her for about two weeks in their backyard, they believed she
was being fed by an elderly person down the street with other strays. When Ruby was brought
into the shelter, she was covered in feces, and had a very badly matted back end. She was
very hesitant to interact with people, but has the cutest squeaky meow. Ruby would allow them
to pet her to some degree but was also very intimidated by it. Feeling she would do better in a
quieter environment, she was brought into Pet Patrol care where she has thrived.
Personality:
Ruby is adorable and has been quite happy in her foster home and loves to be pet and given
ear rubs and back massages. She raises her bum up when pet, which in cat language is a
very positive response to the fact that you’ve hit just the right spot when petting her. She is
enjoying her new environment, soft bed, clean floors and all the toys she can imagine. She
loves catnip mice and anything that dangles or bounces is game on. Ruby does well with
other cats and is looking for an adult home where she will be pampered and where she has
someone to adore. She is a very lucky girl and ready to be adopted into her forever home.
One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors
