Rescue:
Pet Patrol received a messaged from a distraught young man saying that he needed to
find a new home for his dear little cat Bella. He had rescued her from an elderly man’s
property where the cats were essentially kept in a shed that was filthy, not insulated and
there was very little food let alone fresh water. She had a brother kitty who was rehomed
to a family member, but they wouldn’t take Bella because she had not been spayed or
even been to a vet for vaccinations yet. The young man was living in a hotel room and
now facing homelessness. With no income to speak of he was uncertain where he would
be in the next week and didn’t want Bella to be outside with him. She surely would not
survive and because cats tend to wander, she would have been lost in no time. He arrived
at the sanctuary and was quite upset at having to leave her behind, but knew she would be
well cared for
Personality:
Bella is a pretty little cat with striking tabby markings, rich brown colours in her coat and a
very sweet disposition. She is a bit shy to start with and is best in a home that is adult only.
She is fine with other cats that are passive and accepting of a new kitty addition to the
home. Regardless of her living conditions before, this good girl has been treated with love
and respect and it shows with her gentle nature. She is playful and fun loving, liking
toys that dangle, rattle and that she can chase after. She loves to curl up with her people,
be pet and picked up for a cuddle. She looks out the window at the world and the top
perch of the cat tree is the best to view the household activities. Bella is ready to be
adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her
safely indoors
