Rescue:
Sometimes cats just show up at the Pet Patrol sanctuary and we just never know if they wandered in from the surrounding barns or were dumped off. Never nice to be abandoned. For
Hobbes he had been noticed at the feeding station outside the sanctuary in all weather and
usually late at night. Only when he stopped the one evening, watched our volunteers head for
their cars and then sit and waited for the food to be put out, did we realized that he indeed was
friendly. There is no shelter around the sanctuary but some cats have been known to live
under the porch until rescued, Hobbes seemed to be too big for the small entrance hole, so
we never knew where he was coming from. A humane trap was set up and within a hour he
was on his way into the building to continue his life in warmth, with love and attention and we
look forward to him discovering toys and treats. He is a friendly and good looking boy
Personality:
Hobbes is an adorable boy who is very friendly and affectionate with his people and other cats
as well. He generally has his tongue hanging out because of a lack of little teeth between his
fangs that would hold it back. It’s pretty cute and he doesn’t seem to realize. Hobbes would
do well in a home that is loving and gentle. He has had a pretty hard life so far and one that is
calm and compassionate would be the best. He has discovered toys and is quite curious
about them, but is still learning about how they work. He does like interactive toys with his
person and it is wonderful to see his eyes light up with the feather toy or catnip mouse.
Hobbes is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the
family and keep him safely indoors.
