Rescue:

Catterdog came into Pet Patrol care with his sister Stella. They originally lived with other cats in
a barn, on the very edge of a village. When the barn was torn down and the property redeveloped
into town houses, the cats migrated to the house across the street. There was nowhere else for
them to go. Fortunately the people took on the responsibility of feeding the homeless cats, but
unfortunately, the house is cluttered and there are a lot of thiings stored or piled up. The garage is
much the same, dirty and an assortment of bins, shop tools, bags of stuff and keepsakes. It is
open all the time so that stray cats can come in to seek shelter. Sometimes the cats are allowed
in the house, but they would have to be friendly. Catterdog is very friendly, but because he was
not neutered at the time he was not allowed in the house, instead he lived in a van in the
driveway. That has been his home for the last year. Sometimes a friend would take refuge in the
van and keep Catterdog company, otherwise he had daily visits from the people who fed him

Personality:

From his rescuer : “He doesn’t know if he’s a cat or a dog. He was raised by two dogs but he’s a
cat. He eats like a dog, but sounds like a cat. He is a unique and special boy.” . Catterdog is a
friendly and social cat, easy to pick up and loves the attention from people. He has not been
introduced to children and because he was not neutered, he was kept away from the other cats.
But with his charming personality he may do just fine. He is just discovering toys and is quite
interested in the wand toy, anything that has catnip in it and chasing after the laser pen light.
Catterdog is a good boy and ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome
him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
