Rescue:

Pet Patrol heard about Woody from an urgent email: Good morning. I just had a call from a guy
who lives in the country and has a cat that is hanging around his place. He thinks he has a
broken leg and is bleeding. When I asked more questions he said the cat has been like this
for a couple of weeks. We can’t take him in because we don’t have the funds to either repair
or amputate the leg. Apparently he is a friendly cat. I will take him to our vet but may have to
euthanize him if too expensive. I thought if he is friendly and not in horrible condition you might
be interested?” Soon the kitty, now named Woody came into Pet Patrol care and on to the
vet. His leg and groin area were badly damaged with at least five bite wounds which were
infected and x rays showed his leg was broken. By now the infection had gone into the bone
and he was in dire straights. Woody immediately received the medical care he needed to
save his leg and after recuperating he is now ready to find a good home.

Personality:

Woody was very patient during his cage recovery period. He was not allowed to run or jump
for many weeks so that his leg would heal properly. He was pretty chill through the whole
thing.. Once out of his cage he stretched and walked around, flopped down on the heated
floors and treasured being indoors where it is warm and dry. It was apparent that he needed
some physio therapy to help him become agile again and that was simply done with a laser
pen light, which he loves. Woody is loving and affectionate, kind and gentle. He loves his
people, is good with other cats and new people too. He is a dear cat who is deserving
of a loving forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors
