Rescue:

Pretty little Cassie was first noticed running into traffic in the downtown area of a small town.
People had mentioned her on social media and recorded sightings in back alleys, running down
the sidewalks and darting under parked cars for warmth. She was obviously homeless and frightened. A mother and daughter driving in the area immediately stopped their car when they saw
her, and were eventually able to coax her closer to them. They were surprised how easy it was to
pick her up and they took her into the warmth of the car. Their intentions might have been to keep
her, but she started to sneeze, and they didn’t know about keeping the cat separate from other
pets in the house. They reached out to a local cat rescue, but it was full and not able to take
Cassie right away. The city shelter was also full, but the mother and daughter kept Cassie safely
indoors. The cat rescue was eventually able to take her, and they found, like the mother and
daughter, that Cassie was a very sweet and loving little cat. It is still quite a mystery as to where
Cassie came from originally.

Personality:

Cassie is adorable, she is sweet, gentle and a happy little kitty. She was not fazed by the
change in her environment from living in fear on the streets to the comforts of her foster home.
She reveled in it and is so very grateful to be rescued, safe, warm and well fed. She loves to
run around the house chasing after toys, her foster sister’s tail and also swatting after anything
that dangles. Cassie is quite the cuddle bug and is happy to lay on the couch or bed with you,
cuddle or flop across your lap. Cassie is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that
will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors
