Rescue:
It is not uncommon for rural farms to have cats and this particular farm, being small, is luckily
not over populated with cats. They do feed them, socialize them and make sure the cats are
comfortable with children. It is a farm that does things the traditional way and they don’t have
many modern utilities. Many of their cats come into Pet Patrol care when “they have enough
and wonder if we want any”. Petal, Baby Pinky, Pickles and Pippa, had lived at the farm ever
since they were born. But now the barn, being old and run down, and the family needing to
expand, is going to be torn down and they wanted to make sure the cats were safe. All four
cats came into Pet Patrol care, transported by horse and buggy in a crate used for chickens.
Once settled into their space together they ate two large bowls of food in short order and have
continued to thrive since then.
Personality:
Petal is lovely and very social. She wants nothing more than to be cuddled and coo’d to, be
held and will bunt her head into you for attention. She doesn’t mind being picked up and
carried, cradled in your arms and talked to, it seems to be the most natural thing for her, and to
be with people. She will dote on you. She is also a playful cat and has taken interest in toys,
the cat climbers and tunnels as well. Nice to see her carefree. Petal is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
