Rescue:
“ I am a volunteer for Pet Patrol and have a feeding station for cats set up on my back deck. I
live in a rural village surrounded by farms and there are a lot of cats dropped off in this area.
Talli showed up occasionally late last year and stayed just out of reach. When a humane trap
was set up to rescue her, she wouldn’t go in. Over the winter I always had kibble outside for her
and brought canned food out when she arrived and kept talking to her to earn her trust. Fast
forward to this Spring and Talli started looking rounder…she was pregnant! I have insulated
cat houses outside but never saw her go into them. As Talli’s belly got bigger she started to stay around more often. She’s just a little cat and her belly was enormous! Finally, one
morning she came out of one of the houses (yay!!) and had her babies a week later. Six babies!!
TJ, Tyson, Tansey, Trinket, Troy & Titus. Tallie now allowed herself to be rescued and
relaxed as soon as she was indoors, showing me she had lived this lifestyle before. Poor kitty!
How did you end up homeless on the street?”
Personality:
Talli has been a beautiful cat to foster. She is the sweetest little girl and once comfortable in
the house she showed the love. She gives and receives affection and attention and it wasn’t
long before she was bunting up against the fosters legs for attention. Talli doesn’t mind being
picked up held in your arms like a baby and talked to sweetly. She is ready to be adopted into
her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
