Rescue:
“ I am a volunteer for Pet Patrol and have a feeding station for cats set up on my back deck. I
live in a rural village surrounded by farms and there are a lot of cats dropped off in this area.
Tallie showed up occasionally late last year and stayed just out of reach. When a humane trap
was set up to rescue her, she wouldn’t go in. Over the winter I always had kibble outside for her
and brought canned food out when she arrived and kept talking to her to earn her trust. Fast
forward to this spring and Tallie started looking rounder…she was pregnant! I have insulated
cat houses outside but never saw her go into them. As Tallie’s belly got bigger she started to
stay around more often. She’s just a little cat and her belly was enormous! Finally, one
morning she came out of one of the houses (yay!!) and had her babies a week later. Six babies!!
TJ, Tyson, Tansey, Trinket, Troy & Titus. Tallie now allowed herself to be rescued and
relaxed as soon as she was indoors, showing me she had lived this lifestyle before. Poor kitty!
How did you end up homeless on the street?”
Personality:
Tanner is the sweetest and softest kitten. He’s always following his people around, seeing
what they are doing and wanting to play or be shown affection. He likes to be picked up and
will snuggle on your lap. Running around with his siblings is a daily activity and they get into
great games of Chase, pounce or leap at the wand toys and run through tunnels and bat little
balls around. As a cuddler he loves to sleep on your lap, in the little cat hut on a pile of blankets
or in the suns rays. Tanner is ready to be adopted into his forever home with a playmate
or sibling. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
