Rescue:
Coco arrived at Pet Patrol when she was barely eight weeks old after her rescuer sent this message:
“ I had someone call about a small brown Torti kitten that appeared at their farm. Most
likely from the farm next to them they suspect. Looks 6-8 weeks. Has a very bad eye. I am
pretty sure it will need surgery. Says it is friendly”. Knowing that there are rarely any rescue organizations
in the area that she was found, and no one willing to finance her medical care, Coco
was brought into our care after a three hour car ride. She was a little uncertain when she arrived ,
but ate well and settled in. Pet Patrol tends to gravitate towards poor souls, like her because
other people are unable to help. A message and photo were sent into the vet clinic and immediately
they wanted her dropped off in the morning and her surgery was done that afternoon. When
she came back to the sanctuary, we saw a different girl. Coco had obviously been in great pain
because she was now alert, playful and happy. She has continued to thrive in her foster home
Personality:
Coco is a sweet and energetic fur ball with a lot of love for everyone. She loves playing and
napping with the resident cat at her foster home, as well as laying on top of you while you sleep.
You can find her either hanging out in a chubby on the shelf or chasing her favorite laser pen light.
Although she doesn’t discriminate against toys, whether it be a crinkly ball or a jiggling want toy
,she loves them all. Coco is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome
her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
