Rescue:

Pet Patrol received a call in 2020 from an elderly woman who was quite distressed. It seems
that her daughter was evicted from her apartment and didn’t know what to do with her seven
female cats. As a last resort, she put them in a large dog cage and took them to her parents’
apartment. The woman was in her late 70’s and her husband in his 80’s, the cats were
not spayed yet and no funds available to have that done. They finally found Pet Patrol and the
cats were quickly picked up and brought into our care. One was adopted (Pebbles) before
leaving the apartment and the daughter’s most favourite cat stayed with her parents. (Lilo,
Skittles, Sabri, Boots and Olive quickly made themselves at home in the sanctuary and have
since been adopted,) A few months later the person who took Pebbles was unable to keep
her and as soon as transportation was arranged this pretty kitty came into our care as well.
She was soon adopted into a loving home but now it is 2023 and again she was given up by
her family – no fault of her own. They are moving out of Canada and are unable to take her
with them. Poor Pebbles can’t get a break. She is adorable and well behaved. Very sad.

Personality:

Pebbles has shown us right away that she is just as friendly and affectionate as the other kitties, and we know she will be adopted quickly. Such a nice cat. Pebbles is quite outgoing and affectionate, she greets people easily and is happy to sit on your lap. She is quite playful and has discovered the kitty perch in the window, a favourite spot to check out the happenings of the neighbourhood. She is playful and likes to chase balls that bounce, dance around the wand toy and anything battery powered is so interesting!  She is very sweet and kind, gently pawing or kitty kissing your leg or arm for attention.  So cute!.  Pebbles is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
