Rescue:
These two little cats were noticed running through the barn on a farm property. Once they
noticed people looking at them they quickly scooted outside to the side yard of the large property,
darting in and out of the long grass with their siblings. They were very timid and skittish
probably because they had never been handled by people before and were just frightened of
everything. Both girls weighed less than two pounds and found themselves defenceless out in
the big wide world. A volunteer who was there to rescue another cat had noticed the kittens
and knew they needed to be saved. She is helping the property owner by having the colony of
cats spayed or neutered. This is the only way to have a healthy colony and control the overpopulation
of cats. Soon Prita and Patina, along with their siblings were brought into Pet
Patrol care and have thrived.
Personality:
Prita is so cuddly and purrs happily and loudly. Her meows are like little squeaks and she will
let you know when she wants attention. She is entertained by her sister Patina but also knows
how to play on her own, anything can become a toy but she especially likes the dangling wand
and something she can chase down. Cautious in new surroundings to begin with she soon
gained confidence and her curiosity leads her to explore. Patina is so curious and loves to
play! If there is a toy – she will get so distracted from whatever she is doing to play with it. Like
all kittens she is very entertaining and fun loving, curious and interested in all you do. Both
girls also love to cuddle and sleep in the funniest positions, they are easy to pick up and
carry. Prita and Patina are ready to be adopted into their forever home together. One that will
welcome them into the family and keep them safely and doors.
