Rescue:
The sanctuary is located outside the city limits, surrounded by farms and communities that do
things the old fashioned way. We received a phone call about a family who had too many
kittens and “was wondering if we wanted some”. Knowing that they were healthy cats, eating
well, and no parasites they would be a welcome addition to the sanctuary. Our volunteer arrived at the farm, the family was waiting for her with the family dog, too. Each child stood
proudly holding ontch. The biggest orange kitten got away but the one girl followed him into the
barn and brought him back. They were easy to put into the carrier, and once they arrived at
the sanctuary were curious although little concerned. In no time we were able to pick them up
and cradle them in our arms as the children had done with them since birth.
Personality:
Nascar is an extremely cuddly and playful little kitten who finds fun in everything. He is all boy
and creates the WWF (World Wrestling Felines) champions with his siblings happily joining in.
The chase is on when the wand toy comes out, and he likes anything that bounces or jingles.
A peek a boo cardboard box is great to play in with his favorite toys but nap time is also enjoyed in there, or in a cubby on the cat tree. He also likes to Netflix with his foster family on the
couch, snuggling in, playing blanket monster or slowly falling asleep. Nascar is ready to be
adopted into his forever home, hopefully with a sibling or playmate. One that is active and
attentive, will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
