Rescue:
Pet Patrol received an urgent call from a woman who has rescued cats in her area before and
has done her best to make sure they were safe. She eventually places them with other rescues or finds new homes for them herself. She had become aware of a young woman who
was living on her own and pregnant with an over abundance of cats in her home. Family and
Children Services insisted that the cats and two dogs be rehomed before the baby is born.
Pet Patrol took in eleven cats initially and by the end of the rescue operation there were sixty
four cats in total that were rehomed. The young woman who owned the cats helped by placing
them into carriers and seeing them off. Proper authorities and other cat rescues worked
together to save these cats and the woman who contacted us made it all happen. Soon after
arriving at Pet Patrol Martini and Margarita were born, saving them from a life of poor quality.
Personality:
Margarita is the more adventurous of the two sisters. Always the first one to do new things:
climb the cat scratcher, charge out of the kitten room, check out new toys. She had no time for
cuddles initially, too much to see and do, but as she has grown she adores her people and likes
to curl up on your lap or be carried around. If there is exploring to do she does it and her sister
happily follows. Martini is a quiet, silly girl who lets her sister check things out first and then
dives right in. Her favorite toys are balls or other things that she can chase, she will often
groom her foster mom with gentle little kitty kisses. Both have lived with an adult family cat and
are quite interested in being friends. Margarita and Martini are ready to be adopted into their
forever home. One that will welcome them into the family and keep them
safely indoors.
