Rescue:

Pet Patrol received a message from one of our long time volunteers who regularly goes to
farms and checks out their feline situations. When we receive phone calls about overpopulation of cats in the country she helps out by investigating and this time she found a lot of kittens
needing help. This particular farm was overrun with cats. There was at least eight females and
two males, and also four adolescent cats as well, all unaltered. The property owners had been
asking for help for a while. Pet Patrol would take in litters of kittens and find homes for them,
but it wasn’t stopping the cats from continually breeding. Finally, the farmer agreed to spay and
neuter the adults and keep them as barn cats. They just needed time to figure things out because they had just taken over the property after her father had passed away. The cats were
fed and had shelter but they were plagued by predators and often kittens went missing.
Cashew and Churro plus eight younger kittens came into Pet Patrol care that day and all are
so very cute and nicely social.

Personality:

Cashew and Churro are adorable, and fun loving. They like their people as much as they like
their toys. Easy to pick up and hold in your arms or have on your lap, they are well rounded in
their personalities, confident, cuddly and happy go lucky. They have taken full advantage of the
playroom in the sanctuary and nothing is off limits to being investigated, pounced on, climbed or
chased after. We have cat trees and tunnels plus lots of window ledges and sun beams. Cashew
and Churro love each other and it would be best for them to be adopted together into their forever
home. One that will welcome them into the family and keep them safely indoors.
