Rescue:

One of our former foster homes gave Pet Patrol a call about some kittens that she had found.
She and her partner had been doing business at a farm property about 30 minutes outside of
the city. When they arrived in the scorching 30+ degrees heat they discovered kittens sitting
numbly on the lawn. They didn’t know what to do or where to go as the sun barrelled down on
them. Also on the property were Louis and his siblings, all about a year old. They all had
colds, eye infections (to the point where one kitten could not see at all because the infection
had sealed his eyes shut). The volunteer gathered up the kittens and made arrangements for
all the other cats to be rescued as well. The owner of the property replied “I don’t want you to
take all the cats!”. Pet Patrol persevered and within a week most of the cats were in our care
and their medical needs met. Others still on the farm were treated for parasites and were
scheduled in to be spayed and neutered. They are considered feral and since they had shelter and food/water daily, then their needs were met through summer and winter. Louis has
thrived in our care and is a very nice cat.

Personality:

Louis is like a wet noodle…if he is laying on a shelf or the end of the bed, he will slowly slither
off the edge and onto the floor or into your arms. He is quite silly that way. He loves his belly
rubbed and to be carried and cradled in your arms showing us his loving and affectionate
personality. Definitely a lap cat and one who will be great company he also is very playful and
had explored all the toys in the sanctuary. He often can be found on the cat tree, using the
scratching post, or peeking out of the cubbies, or from his soft and cushy bed. Louis is ready to
be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him
safely indoors
