Rescue:

One of our longtime and dedicated foster moms was attending a wedding out of town. When
she got out of her car to go into the venue, people were pointing and smiling, at a friendly
brown tabby cat, rubbing up against their legs and asking for attention. She immediately
called to him and he ran straight to her, she picked him up and he showed her what a lovely
and friendly cat he was. This was Everett. She noticed he was thin, cold, and desperate to get
inside someplace warm. As people were trying to get out of their cars he was trying to get in.
At one point he made his way into the building, through the kitchen and ended up in the bar.
Being under age he was put back outside where he scooted underneath the porch, trying to
get away from the brisk, damp wind. Our volunteer contacted Pet Patrol right away and soon
he was safely in her cat carrier in her car waiting to go to a warm inviting home. He was comfortable, purring happily and nodded off very quickly. He was exhausted. Everette was not
neutered, therefore no microchip. The people at the venue had never seen him before .
Postings were checked to see if an owner was looking for him, but nothing ever surfaced so
now Everett is available to find his forever home.

Personality:

What a great cat he is. He loves to be held and have belly rubs. He is a little nervous around
other cats initially, but with a slow integration he adjusts nicely. Everett is playful and active,
curious about where you are and what you’re doing, greets you at the door and rubbing up
against your legs. He’s ready to be adopted into his forever home where he will be welcomed
into the family and kept safely indoors.
