Rescue:

A couple who lives in a small village, just outside of a small town have had several stray cats
show up at their property over the last year. Before that, for the decades that they have lived
there, rarely did any kitties arrive. One day Genevive poked her little head out from under their
deck, they finally were able to get a glimpse of the cat that had been frequenting their feeding
station. She was shy and unsure but they talked to her gently and encouraged her to trust them.
Providing her with a warm, sheltered place to sleep she soon showed up with her one and only
kitten in tow and they took up residence on the porch. With the autumn weather turning colder,
and gloomy rainy days ahead they decided to rescue this tiny feline family and bring them
indoors. Now Genevive is happy and healthy and learning to enjoy her life that was once just
about survival, minute by minute.

Personality:

Genevive has come a long way from the skittish stray we found in our yard, but will need time
and patience, and calmness, as she moves into a new environment. She is a sweet, gentle
kitty who is happy to sit and watch the world she left behind out of the window. We hardly hear
a sound from her, except for some soft mews when she is hungry. She seemed to sail through
that day with no problem! Genevive will appreciate being in a quiet, calm home. She enjoys
pets, a good back massage, and a cat nip toy makes her day. This pretty girl is ready to be
adopted into a forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely
indoors.
