Rescue:

There was a colony of cats who were found at the landfill. The
colony had been cared for there by the staff, feeding them daily and even providing insulated
cat houses for them. The nice thing was they were all friendly, but the sad thing was is the
colony was growing. A company memo was sent out, saying that they had consulted with the
city shelter who said to stop feeding the cats. That is sad and wrong. Rescuing them is the
answer. Coyotes are running through the area often and sometimes within 10 feet of our volunteers. They definitely had caused many of the cats to disappear. The colony cats names all
start with the letter K, and this includes Keihl & Kapan Our volunteers and the woman who was
feeding the cats were braving the elements daily to ensure this colony was looked after and
brought into care.

Personality:

Kapan and Kiehl are two kittens who started off their lives at the landfill. Both have done exceptionally well adjusting to the indoor cat life at their foster home. They are sweet boys with
big purrs who love to wrestle and play with toys. Kapan is quite active and runs around, hides
and then surprises everyone with a pounce. He is quite the talker and meows for attention and
food. Kiehl is a long haired boy who is more laid back. He likes to be held like a baby and
have a good tummy rub. They have been exposed to other cats and small dogs and have no
problems interacting with them. Kapan & Keihl are ready to be adopted into their forever
home. One that will welcome them into the family and keep them safely indoors.
