Rescue:

Eddie was found outside his rescuers house one night. It was in the Fall and the weather had
been wet, windy and cold for many days, and unfit for anyone to be outdoors without shelter or
safety. This handsome boy was sitting at their porch door seemly waiting for someone to
notice him. When the woman started talking to him and approaching he immediately started
meowing and asking for help. He was desperate. “There are a lot of barn cats in the area but
he was so friendly that it was thought he must have been a lost pet.” When his rescuer went
inside to grab some food for him he was right behind her, snuck inside and instantly made
himself comfortable. He insisted on staying and after gobbling up some food he started playing with the residents cat toys, making it clear he at one point was a house cat. Reaching out
to social media in her community and the lost pet sites she came up empty for an owner and
then turned to Pet Patrol to see if we could help.

Personality:

Eddie is a very sweet, talkative, affectionate boy who never turns down pets or a treat or two.
Showing his foster family that he is all in for belly scratches, and just wants to be loved with a
happy kitty smile. He is a huge fan of catnip and the wand toy was a bit of a mystery for him,
but he is getting used to it and has become more playful and investigative of other toys. Eddie
enjoys being able to look out windows and watch what’s going on outside. His rescuers would
keep him in a heart beat but already have quite a few furry friends so they have reached out to
Pet Patrol to find him a forever home. “An excellent companion and will fit in well with a home
that has lots of love and cuddles to share with him.” He appears to be fine with dogs, other
cats and probably children as he is sure of himself and not easily frightened. Eddie is ready to
be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him
safely indoors.
