Rescue:

One day this petite, black cat showed up outside of a country property. The people had no
idea where she had come from, if she had migrated from another property or been abandoned. It would have been a pretty awful trek through the cold and wet ground as the fall
weather had been dismal. Pet Patrol has rescued a number of friendly cats that had been
dumped out in the country and obviously they were out of their element. Trudy, the black cat,
started coming up to the house for food and attention for about four weeks. They would feed
her every day, hoping that she would migrate to the barn and stay there, but she never did. She
actually was trying to get into the house, an environment that she was familiar with before she
was left to fend for herself. Some days they would find her on the deck or coming out from
underneath it. But they were getting concerned with the weather turning colder for the winter
that the deck was not a safe place for a little cat. Soon, Trudy came in to Pet Patrol care.

Personality:

Trudy is a lovely cat who simply made herself at home at Pet Patrol. She does not mind the
other cats, the different volunteers coming and going, and the activities of the sanctuary. She
is taking it all in. Trudy is petite, easy to pick up, carry and loves to be loved. It has been interesting to watch her greet the new people as they come in the door, and to watch her discover
toys. She likes to lounge in the window in the sun and taking in what’s happening out in the
field. Trudy is a lovely little cat and ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will
welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
