Rescue:

An older man arrived at the local pet food store and mentioned that he has a cat he has been
taking care of in his shop for the last few years. This was Thai. When he showed up one day,
this black cat was timid and uncertain, but it was obvious that he was hungry and in desperate
need of some care from people. The shop was a shipping container in the corner of an industrial lot, it had a big metal door that shut, storage and in the back a work area that was
heated. Thai was welcomed in there and fed daily, given fresh water and once he felt comfortable with the man, he wanted to be pet and appreciated. After three years the man felt that
Thai needed to live indoors, because when he was not at the shop, this boy was outside in all
weather. He contacted Pet Patrol and soon we were able to bring this now handsome and big
boy into our care. When we arrived the man had him by the work bench, held in his arms
comfortable and purring away

Personality:

Thai has done very well in our care and did not appear to have any real health issues when he
arrived. He is a big lad, husky and strong but with a nice cushion of thick black hair that makes
him look like a teddy bear. He is gentle and passive, good with the other cats in the sanctuary
and greets new people all the time. Thai is happy to be pet and brushed, he is discovering
toys which he has never had before , and loves to gaze out the window and lay on the wide sill
to catch some rays. He is just the nicest boy and is now ready to be adopted into his forever
home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors. He has had
enough of the outdoor life style
