Rescue:

Pet Patrol received a call from a woman who said that her cat had given birth to kittens in July,
and they have really struggled to find homes for them. The kittens were happy and healthy in
her home but there were five of them, all females. It seems that the family had not scheduled
their adult cat in to be spayed and she got out of the house one night. Not knowing that she
had become pregnant in that short period of time, they soon realized after about six weeks
when her belly became larger. Then it dawned on them that she had mated with a Tom cat
outside and was expecting. The family enjoyed raising the kittens and have tried to find homes
for them as soon as they were weaned at about eight or nine weeks of age, but no one was
adopting at that time. Finally, they reached out to Pet Patrol and sent photos. Pet Patrol was
able to take in two of the kittens right away, and not much later the other three came into our
care, Hawthorn being one of them. The five kittens have been raised in a loving family home.

Personality:

Hawthorn is an adorable kitten bursting with energy and curiosity, her captivating eyes sparkling with mischief and intelligence. From the moment she runs into a room, it’s clear that Hawthorn’s zest for life knows no bounds. Playtime is anytime, according to Hawthorn, and she
approaches it with enthusiasm. Her absolute favorite are toys with tinkling bells: that familiar
jingle sets her playful spirit alight, inspiring her to frolic with infectious joy. Hawthorn has a
tender side, particularly when it comes to her people. While they work or relax, she can often be
found nearby, contentedly perched on a desk or nestled in a cozy corner, keeping a watchful
eye on her surroundings. She might try to rearrange things on your desk, but that generally gets
her the result she really craves: attention, ear scritches and snuggles! Hawthorn is ready to be
adopted into her forever home one that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely
indoors
