Rescue:
Little Cheeto was found on a rural property on a cold night in January, there was snow on the
ground and the wind was wicked. The owners of the house heard the sad cries of this little one by
the back door and wondered where he came from, then noticed car tire tracks. It seems that
someone just pulled up at the end of their driveway, tossed this kitten out and took off. Sadly, they
knew the truth that Cheeto was dumped and left to fend for himself. Because this family already
had cats in their home, they didn’t feel they could take Cheeto inside, but they made sure he had
somewhere warm to stay in their barn with their other farm cats. They reached out for help on
their community social media, and a kind lady who does cat rescue responded and picked
Cheeto up. This lady also had cats in her house, but she was able to bring little Cheeto inside for
a while, as she waited for a space to become available with Pet Patrol.
Personality:
Cheeto is an amazing little cat who did not deserve to be abandoned in such a careless way.
Once inside warm and well fed he immediately showed that he was a happy, active boy who was
used to being indoors, living in a home with people. He did his best to get the other older cats in
his foster home to play with him in games of hide and seek and tag. Scratching posts and toys
are great sources of fun for this boy! and when he is all tuckered out, Cheeto loves to snuggle
close to his human for a warm nap on a lap. He loves the finer things of life, neck and back massages, cuddles, ear scritches, brushings and all the attention he can get. He clearly shows his
appreciation with lots of purrs and head bumps. Cheeto is ready to be adopted into his forever
home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
