Rescue:

Petrie was affectionately called Phil when he showed up outside a family home in the country.  He just appeared one day, on their back deck, just like other stray cats had in the past year or so. The couple living there had never seen so many cats since the financial aftermath of Covid, and set to helping anyone who showed up at their door.  Petrie immediately recognized that this was a nice place as they had installed a heat lamp, cover and soft warm bedding inside their window well.  It looks into their basement shop and when a cat takes up residence they know right away.  This handsome cat wanted in the house immediately, which is a strong indicator that he had lived in one before and knows the benefits and comforts.  Already having four cats and knowing that Pet Patrol took in friendly cats, we were quickly contacted and this lovely boy came into our care.  He is a doll!

Personality:

Petrie did well with the other cats that were roaming their property and has done ok with just one or two cats in his foster home.  He is friendly and affectionate, likes to rub up against your legs and doesn’t mind being held.  Greeting you at the door and making sure you have a TV or computer buddy, seems to be his daily mandate.  He is playful and has really taken to the wand toy, anything that bounces and rolls and cat nip of course, something most cats can’t resist.  Petrie likes to lay on the warm window sill as the sun beams through, watching the neighborhood and all that is happening, birds, squirrels and even the traffic take his interest.  Petrie is ready to be adopted into his forever home.  One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
