Rescue:

Pretty Lindi and several of her colony mates were brought into Pet Patrol care in the middle of winter, after a very long drive. A woman who lives up north and used to do cat rescue
had contacted us regarding these cats. They just had no place to go and would soon be
breeding uncontrollably. We were told that they were looked after by a family and all the
cats were handled, were able to be picked up and good candidates for adoption. They
were right. Although they were fed low end barn cat food and lived in a horse stable, they
all came in with good weight and bright eyes. Lindi would have undoubtedly become pregnant this year as there were many toms in this colony and the family had run out of resources for finding homes for the litters of kittens born. This pretty girl is now in Pet Patrol
care and thriving.

Personality:

Lindi is a rare cat because of the chocolate colouring to her coat, mixed with white. In all
the twenty eight years of running Pet Patrol we have only seen about seven cats with the
true chocolate colouring and only two that also have white in their coats. Lindi is a sweet
cat who likes her people and other kitties too. She adjusted to living at the sanctuary within
a few weeks and is now busy exploring the toys, cat trees and seeing what is outside. She
is quite the neighbourhood watch cat, checking out the fields and on the other side, the
road traffic. Lindi has taken to the cat tunnel and wand toys. she is easy to pet and pick up.
She would like a home with another kitty, perhaps her house mate Polly. She is ready to be
adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her
safely indoors.
