Rescue:

A woman who lives in a small village with her daughter has been feeding local strays for
many, many years. It is not uncommon for people to bring their cats to this village and
release them, intending to never return and leaving the cats to fend for themselves. Close
by is a popular cottage lined lake as well, and sometimes we feel the cats migrate from
there. There are always friendly stray cats in the area. Timmy had been outside for a
while it seems, as he was pretty thin and dirty when he arrived at her feeding station. He
was timid at first but with good food and gentle conversation he quickly showed how
friendly and affectionate he was. He also started to demonstrate his desire to be indoors
by pouncing at the door trying to get in. He had had enough of sleeping on the porch, in
the window well or the insulated cat box for strays. His life has been lonely and difficult until
now, so it will be nice for him to have stability and a lot of love for his future.

Personality:

From his foster mom: “Timmy is the sweetest boy you will ever meet.”  Though a little bit shy at first, it doesn’t take him long to show his super affectionate and loving personality.  Timmy will run to you demanding cuddles and bum scratches, even giving you his belly when you scratch him just right. He really enjoys the company of other cats, and having cats in the home really helped him come out of his shell and learn to trust people after his initial rescue. This little man  loves every cat he meets, and instantly wants to befriend them.  The sweetest little meow comes from him and he will proudly use it to let you know when he wants to be picked up and cuddled, he is a lap cat, purring and making biscuits. Nothing wins him over more than a Churru tube treat, and he will come running when he hears you open one.  As Timmy reacts to any loud noise and prefers to come to people on his own terms, a family with children or rowdy dogs would likely not be a good match. He needs a patient calm environment to really thrive and be his best self.   He is ready to be adopted into his forever home.  One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
