Rescue:
Poor Logan was someone’s indoor cat until suddenly he found himself homeless. He
showed signs that he was used to being inside by crying and pawing at people’s entrance
doors. He would stop people as they were getting out of their cars and followed them up
the driveway to the house, trying desperately to catch their attention. Logan made his way
to a kind man’s porch, where he scratched at the door and sat on the windowsill, asking to
come in. When he opened the door, this handsome cat trotted right in and flopped on the
floor, relieved to have warmth and comfort again. The man provided a comfy cat bed for
Logan to sleep in and he must have felt safe, because he slept nearly an entire day! He
devoured the food put down for him and while there he was well-behaved and always used
the litter box. The man’’s resident cats were a little surprised at this new addition, and when
the hissing and growling started, Logan walked away.
Personality:
It has been a pleasure to have Logan at the sanctuary, he has readily and confidently
explored every room. He is very interested in what is going on outside the windows, watching the traffic and also what might be in the fields. He is playful and fun loving, liking toys
that dangle and those he can chase. His life has been all about survival in a suburban
neighbourhood, finding food and warmth, so it took a bit of time for him to fully feel carefree. Logan is great with people of all ages and would do fine as an only cat or with one
other pet. He approaches people, lays down and rolls around. Pet me! Pet me! Logan is
loving and affectionate, easy to pick up and carry. He is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors
