Rescue:
Pet Patrol received a call from an officer with animal control. Apparently they had been
summoned to a property where the cat population was out of control. As the story unfolds,
a couple living in a rented house, described as ones to collect things and never give anything up – also had cats. The woman took very sick suddenly and it was apparent that she
would not be returning home, unable to look after herself independently any longer. Her
partner was left in charge of the home and the cats and things just progressively became
worse. Their family friendly two cats became thirty two cats in a very short period of time .
Suddenly, the man passed away, and the landlord went into check on the house. To his
dismay, he found the clutter and the felines trying to tear open bags of food and drink out
of the sink. He contacted animal control and little by little, they’ve been able to take the
cats out of such an environment and place them with rescues. We were lucky enough to
get Bonnie and she has proven to be an adorable cat.
Personality:
Having lived with multiple cats before she had no problem integrating into the sanctuary.
This pretty girl has made herself right at home. She’s very affectionate with people, always
willing to be pet and cuddled and is easy to pick up. If nothing else they were loved in their
former home. Bonnie is now ready to be adopted into her forever home. As an only cat or
with others, she is adaptable to both. She’s playful and loving and Interested In all that you
do. A home that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors
