Rescue:

From Bryers rescuer: “So…we ended up trapping a cat in the area. He was dumped years
ago by his owners when they moved. He was incredibly easy to rescue, and before that I
was able to get a head scratch in. He’s been in my bathroom since yesterday… and just
used the litter box. He used to know love, and used to be in a home evidently. He lets me
pet him, but then gets a little annoyed with me (not used to all the love) Intact, scratches all
over his body.”

The next day, now called Bryer, he was vet checked, vaccinated and neutered with no health concerns. Although it understandably took him a few days to settle
into the sanctuary, he has done very well and is happy to be safe and is receiving and
accepting a lot of love.

Personality:

Bryer, named for the ice cream and perhaps he reminded us of a creamcicle with his
lovely orange and white colouring, is a nice boy. He has had it pretty rough for the last
few years, seeking out shelter and food on a daily basis in all weather and all times of the
year. It is always sad to see cats struggling in our Canadian winter months where warmth
is limited or non existent. Since coming into the sanctuary he has become a much happier
boy and is happy to receive pets and brushing now. Toys are something he will become
more familiar with over time as he becomes part of a lucky person’s life. Bryer is ready to
be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him
safely indoors.
