Rescue:

One of Pet Patrol volunteers who lives in a small town had received a message about a
friendly little cat who she had been feeding throughout the winter. The cat was clean and
obviously had some place to go during bad weather that was dry and accessible, but she
preferred the food that our volunteer’s neighbour put out for her. Sure enough, in the spring,
pretty Daina showed that she was pregnant and would soon have a litter of kittens born outside the safely of a house. Daily she would arrive for her food and then trot down the side of
the house as our volunteer’s neighbour, and the other neighbors as well, tried to see where
she was going. She always disappeared quickly. One day she was successfully brought into
Pet Patrol care with her two lovely kittens. A nearby farm had noticed her and finally found the
nest and in chatting with the neighbor discovered the detective work everyone was doing to try
and make sure Daina and her little feline family were safe.

Personality:

Dash and Dodge are two active brothers who have a very close relationship. Both kittens have
energy and love to play, run and wrestle with each other. Climbing their cat tree is a favourite
pastime, checking things out from a higher level and scrambling up or down is a part of the
Indy 500 kitten race. When not playing, they snuggle together and sleep on top of one another
for company. Both are appropriately named: Dash is fast and loves to run and jump. Dodge is
able to squeeze behind furniture and evades his people when he would rather be playing. At
snuggle time, both have come to enjoy being held and accept back and head rubs and are on
their way to being lap cats. Dash is more out going and will take the lead most of the time.
Dodge, being more cautious, will watch before jumping into new situations. These sweet boys
are ready to be adopted into their forever home together. One that will welcome them into the
family and keep them safely indoors.
