Rescue:
Pet Patrol received a call from a woman who had noticed this interesting looking cat with
blue eyes roaming her small town. He had been ripping into garbage bags seeking food
and was found sleeping under cars trying to find some refuge from the ever-changing
weather. People were getting upset about his destructive nature and posted him on the
community Lost Pet site. His owners were found, Beau was returned and this his story:
“Beau started demanding to go outside wandering farther away from home and then would
disappear for long periods of time. We wanted to keep him in, and we love him. Whenever
he returned home we made sure that he was checked over by the vet. Beau however had
other thoughts and would have no part of staying inside.” In talking with the family we
figured out what was upsetting this handsome cat and why he needed to leave the house.
We could only surmise that it was the other cat in the house who was dominant. Now in a
foster home Beau is very content and relaxed. He has no interest in wanting to be outdoors and is quite happy in this pretty chilled environment.
Personality:
Once at his foster home his real personality quickly came out, with the help of his friend
BamBam (another shy cat). Beau is now very affectionate, curious and social. In the morning he pops his head up on the bed and plays “Peek-a-boo” as you wake up, then he jumps
on the bed and asks for cuddles. He excitedly walks between your feet while you go get his
breakfast, then flops down on the floor hoping you pick him up and give him a good snuggle. He is looking for a family who can give him lots of love and attention, and who already
has another accepting cat, or best yet, adopt him with his BFF BamBam
