Rescue:
A man who lives in a small village and had contacted Pet Patrol a year ago about a lovely orange cat
in need of a home has now approached us again. This time, they mentioned there were “a few”
cats hanging around their home that they were feeding. The problem was, none of them were
spayed or neutered, mature males were spraying on things, kittens were being born outside, and
neighbours were complaining. Understandable. It started with Sparky coming into our care, a
friendly boy who likes everyone. Soon after that, there was a mom and five babies, and then
Sparky’s brother Flash. In total, we have taken in eleven cats and there are at least that many more
in the area. A few cats multiplied rather quickly! All have done well in our care, all have had their
vet care done, and all have thrived while living indoors
Personality:
This girl with her white socks and oversized curious ears is so endearing, her nickname is Charm.
She is confident and likes to take the lead with her siblings. She has a funny game where if you sit
on the floor to play, she will run over and bury herself in the nooks and crannies under your lap or
knees. Caramel must think she is part dog, because she loves to run to the door to greet you and
she adores a game of chase around the house. Her favourite toy is a laser beam to run after…
tirelessly! But after a big day of games, she is tuckered out and loves being petted and scratched to
sleep, and will reward you with lots of purrs and finger kisses. Born and raised in a busy family
home, Caramel is very happy to be handled by kids of all ages. She has never been alone, and is
looking for a home where she will be kept company by another cat or a person who is home very
often and has lots of time to play with her.
