Rescue:
Pet patrol received a call from a smaller cat rescue which fills up quickly with the number of
request to taken in cats. It was about Schroeder and the young woman who had adopted him.
She had been looking for a new home for him even though she had only had him for two
months. When she arrived at the sanctuary with him she was surprised at how much information we like to have about the cat. It helps us to make sure we find the right foster environment
and home for the kitty. Eventually, she told us that she found him on social media. And he
came from a house in a small town. The people just handed him over at the door when she
arrived to meet him. She didn’t have a chance to ask too many questions about him and
wasn’t even given his name. It is a complete mystery as to what this poor cat has been
through in his short life, but Patrol will make sure that he is happy and healthy.
Personality:
Shroeder is a very snuggly, cuddly cat. Initially, in a new environment and with new people, he
will be shy, but with time and trust he’ll be your best buddy and shadow. He’s most
vocal when he’s hungry and loves his little treats. Although he tends to like his space during the
day, he gets very affectionate in the evening when his foster home is quiet and he has his
person all to himself. Schroeder loves to play and will chase little toys and random little objects
he can find. He loves to be pet especially under his chin and loves forehead kisses.
Schroeder has done very well in his foster home and is now ready to be adopted into his
forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
