Rescue:
A young man called Pet Patrol near the end of summer and said he had found an extremely friendly
stray cat on his property. He lived just on the outskirts of a small town and reported that he could
not keep this cat, could not afford the care involved or even to feed it. He did his best to give Toby a
can of food here and there, but that simply wasn’t enough. At the time, the sanctuary was at
maximum capacity and wasn’t able to take Toby in, but fast forward two weeks and we called the
man back. Yes, Toby was still there, and a volunteer was on her way to check him for a microchip.
That was when the man confessed that this handsome cat was his. He had developed allergies and
couldn’t afford Toby, who now was heavily burdened with burrs in his tail. Now in Pet Patrol’s care,
he has done very well and is a happy cat to be indoors again.
Personality:
Toby is one of the nicest cats we have, he is pretty amazing. As a happy go lucky boy, and super
friendly, he has really taken to the cat beds, climbers and watching the world from the safety of the
indoors. Exploring all the toys and chasing after bouncy balls makes his day. He is not only
affectionate with the volunteers who help at the sanctuary, but good with the other cats as well.
Toby has made himself known, as he is quick to greet visitors, rubbing up against their legs and
wanting to be held. This tall and long boy is a lap cat and certainly deserves to have a more
secure and happy life. Toby is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome
him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
