Rescue:

Freckles was discovered in a rural backyard, underneath some stairs, in the shadows trying to
hide. This little guy was very thin and feeling defeated, his coat was filthy and he was limping.
Not able to put weight on his back right foot he knew he was vulnerable to coyotes and hawks
so he hid as much as he could. Luckily he was found by the man who lives in the house and
he started feeding him, trying to gain Freckles trust. The weather was cold and damp, and he
was noticeably shivering. With the smell of canned cat food, this handsome, but suffering boy,
was easy to entice into a humane trap that was serving warmed up food. Soon he was
brought into Pet Patrol care and off to the vet within a day. He had a wound on his toe and that
was the reason for the limp, but it has cleared up beautifully now. Overtime, this lovely boy has
gained weight and is always accepting pets and head scratches

Personality:

Freckles has done well in our care, and although there are a lot of cats in the sanctuary with
him, he is not afraid or upset with them in any way. He is usually found stretched out in a sunny
window, taking in the warmth of a sunbeam. He enjoys a soft bed and a full belly. Usually there
is another cat close to him, and he appreciates their company. Freckles has been seen playing with toys and running after a ball, but usually when no one is looking as he is pretty proud.
Freckles would do well in a quiet home. He is easy to pet and likes to have his chin rubbed,
full body massages and brushing, but loud noises and sudden movements still cause him to
leave the area. He is ready to be adopted into a forever home. One that will welcome him
into the family and keep him safely indoors.
