Rescue:
One of Pet Patrol’s volunteers lives in a small village surrounded by farms & rural space. There are
a lot of kitties that show up at the feeding station that she has set up outside. Tyler came in at the
end of July, but bolted when he saw her. When neighbours were asked about him, it was
discovered that he had been hanging around for a few months across the road. It took a couple of
weeks of going out and talking to him whenever he came to eat to stop him from running away.
Soon, he was meowing at her and allowed her to pet him. He immediately started rolling around,
showing his belly for rubs. He even let her pick him up and put him on her lap! Tyler had obviously
been in a home, as he came around so fast after the first pet. So when the basement door was
opened, he went right in. Tyler is such an affectionate kitty and deserves to have a loving family. The
volunteer has a dog who is respectful of kitties so Tyler was ok with it
Personality:
Tyler is such a good cat. He is sweet natured and gentle, good with other cats, and great with new
people. He is not shy at all. He’s quick to show his belly for some attention and always seems to
have a smile on his face. He is a good sized cat, not petite and not tall and long, but just right for
snuggling and having curled up at your side. Tyler very quickly settled into the environment at the
sanctuary, as he adjusted to the various volunteers/visitors with a sweet meow for attention and a
paw up asking for love. Although we know he is playful and will take full advantage of the many toys
here, for now he has occupied his time with watching the other cats, greeting people, and basking
in the warmth of a sunbeam in one of the many large windows here. Tyler is ready to be adopted
into his forever home, one that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
